Service Description

Cupping therapy is used for pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and wellbeing. The cups are made of glass, bamboo, earthenware or plastic. Depending on the practitioner's style, different types of cupping methods are used. There are typically two kinds of cupping methods: Dry and Fire. With Dry Cupping, either a plastic or rubber cup are used with a suction gun to create vacuum for local suction. In fire cupping, the practitioner will set some flammable substance (paper, herbs etc.) inside a glass cup and wait till the fire dies out before covering over the skin. The cup is placed on the skin when the fire goes out, and as the cup cools down the vacuum is created. This causes your skin to rise and redden as your blood vessel expands. The raised red circles are signs of our blood circulation at work, the color and shape can vary person to person depending on their health. The marking will naturally subside as the metabolism of the body increase after a cupping session.
